How many NFL players are hard core fantasy players themselves? It’s hard to say for sure, but Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Golden Tate is one of them. Tate was kind enough to stop in and join Michael Fabiano from NFL Fantasy Live to talk about a number of different topics. We have yet to see Percy Harvin play in a Seahawks uniform, and that could change in Week 11. Tate gives his thoughts on what kind of impact Harvin’s presence will make on the offense. Tate also sheds some light on how Russell Wilson helps the Seahawks offense get in sync before gameday. Finally, who else populates Golden Tate’s fantasy team? Are any other Seahawks on his roster? Where […]

Cassel closer to starting?: Lezlie Frazier recently said he hopes Christian Ponder plays on Sunday against the Steelers, but I don’t know how broken up the coaching staff would be if they were forced to go with Matt Cassel. Ponder has more INTs (5) this year than TD passes (2), and he has yet to crack 240 passing yards in a game. In other words, he’s been operating at about a C- level all year long. If Ponder plays well in London, he’ll be given a moratorium. If not, Cassel will likely start after the bye. Jim Brown endorses Richardson trade: The Browns made a huge trade splash by recently sending Trent Richardson to the Colts, and former NFL great […]

Let’s open it up: Panthers head coach Ron Rivera said he was too conservative with his playcalling in a 12-7 loss to the Seahawks. Carolina led for a good portion of the game, but they were done in by a late fourth-quarter Seahawks touchdown. Newton had 125 yards and one touchdown, and while he was going against a tough defense, his owners undoubtedly expected more from him. It will certainly be good news if Carolina wants to open up the passing game, although a number of questions exist about which of their WRs would be capable of stepping up. The Panthers travel to Buffalo next week, which may present a decent opportunity for them to rediscover their passing attack. DeAngelo […]

The Seattle Seahawks had a day for the fantasy record books Sunday, scoring 41 points on defense. Only one team has been better in the past 10 years — the Seattle Seahawks.

The San Francisco 49ers play host to the Seattle Seahawks tonight in a matchup that has huge implications for the NFC West picture.

The Seahawks are expected to be well over the salary cap, and a large chunk of that cash might be reinvested to patch up a dearth of contract players at running back, defensive end and linebacker.

Now that Sidney Rice is finished for the year, everyone in Seattle’s WR receiver rotation moves up. It likely won’t help their fantasy values enough to make them worth starting.

There aren’t many positives for the Seattle Seahawks to take out of their first two losses of the season. And that might actually be sugar-coating the situation.

You see this story every year. A school holds a “pride” day for the local team. Yet, one individual wears the colors of another team, only to get sent home. And then the hand-wringing ensues.

The biggest surprise of wild-card weekend was the Seahawks’ win over the Saints, but it shouldn’t be as big of a shock as most people tend to think.
