Sampson helps himself at San Diego State pro day

San Diego State hosted its pro day on March 24, an event DeMarco Sampson used to place himself on the draft radar. Sampson struggled with injuries early in his career, but had a very productive senior season. He was a likely a free-agent candidate after his combine workout, but the wide receiver exceeded expectations on pro day and may get himself selected in the sixth- or seventh round because of it. Sampson (6-2 1/8, 201) showed good hands, but it was his dual 40 times of 4.41 that really drew attention.
