49ers WR Ted Ginn Jr.‘s restructured contract allows him be a free agent after this season, according to a league source. Ginn, who sparked the 49ers to their first win under new coach Jim Harbaugh with two return touchdowns, redid his contract a week ago. He is now set to make $1 million in 2011, with $400,000 available to him in incentives. Ginn had been set to make $1.4M in base salary in 2011, with up to $2.9M in escalators, and had a $1.8M base for 2012.

Dolphins, Rams host free agents

On the hunt for some depth in the secondary, the Miami Dolphins gave tryouts to defensive backs Mark LeGree and Darcel McBath on Wednesday, according to a league source. And in another free-agent visit, the St. Louis Rams tried out defensive back C.J. Wilson. In other league news,  four teams placed waiver claims on defensive back Darius Butler following his release from New England, according to a league source. Carolina, Denver, Jacksonville and San Francisco all placed claims on Butler, who was awarded to the Panthers.

Ex-Cowboys center Gurode to visit Lions

Former Cowboys center Andre Gurode will visit the Lions on Friday, according to a source with knowledge of the situation.
