TE Daniels will miss significant time: Just when Texans fans thought the news couldn’t get much worse, it’s now being reported that Owen Daniels will be placed on the IR with designation to return after six weeks. He’ll officially miss 4-6 weeks, but per league rules, the earliest he can return would be Week 14. The official diagnosis on Daniels is a non-displaced fibula fracture — ouch — that happened during Sunday’s blowout loss in San Francisco. This is a huge blow to the Texans offense — not because Daniels was posting monster stats this season (40 catches, 252 yards, 3 TDs) — but with Matt Schaub really struggling to find some consistency, having longtime teammate and friend Daniels as an […]

Matt Schaub’s “significant” injury opens the door for Matt Leinart, but the fantasy matchups don’t seem to favor the new Texans starter.
The Texans remain optimistic Andre Johnson can return to action Sunday, even though he has been limited in practice most of the week.
With Derrick Ward and Ben Tate nursing injuries, it could be another productive week for Arian Foster.
The Texans have agreed to terms with WR Jacoby Jones and OT Rashad Butler, according to a team source.
The Texans struggled on defense last season, surrendering the fourth-most points (26.7 per game) in the NFL, and that led to two key changes.
