The much-anticipated debuts of Albert Haynesworth and Shaun Ellis became official Thursday night in Foxborough, Mass., as both were in the starting lineup in the preseason finale against the Giants.

The Redskins did the right thing in dealing away Albert Haynesworth — this was addition by subtraction. The Patriots did the right thing — buying low on a uniquely skilled player (the Patriot way).

The Redskins’ pursuit of free-agent defensive tackles is another sign that Albert Haynesworth‘s days in D.C. likely are numbered.
