Georgia WR A.J. Green breezed through his scripted 28 plays at an odd pro day that NFL scouts couldn’t watch in person. The scouts viewed the workout from television monitors inside the Bulldogs’ training complex because there were questions regarding the status of QB Justin Roper, who lives 46 miles away — outside of the school’s radius. Roper played collegiately at Montana.
As one of the first high-profile, likely top-10 picks to make his way into the NFL Scouting Combine media center Friday, Georgia WR A.J. Green drew quite a crowd of reporters.
Many media members have been waiting to speak with A.J. Green, widely considered the top wide receiver prospect in this year’s draft. So they could be forgiven for the puzzled looks on their faces Friday when the media-center PA announced that “Georgia wide receiver A.C. Green” was coming to the podium at the NFL Scouting Combine media center.
NFL Network’s draft analyst Mike Mayock believes Georgia WR A.J. Green is “the real deal.”
