Hightower starts over James

In a move that was rumored this week, Tim Hightower got the start ahead of Edgerrin James. The rookie is a great fantasy sleeper against the Rams. Ray Rice started ahead of Willis McGahee, but these two backs are expected to share carries against the Browns. Le’Ron McClain will also see some work out of the backfield.

McGahee getting healthy for Ravens

It’s more than just good news for the Baltimore Ravens that RB Willis McGahee took part in a full practice on Thursday. Fantasy owners will have RB McGahee

NFL Network’s Adam Schefter is reporting that Willis McGahee (chest, questionable) will be active against Tennessee. A Ravens official e-mailed Schefter and said it looks like McGahee will even start. This is a bad matchup for the veteran, but he’ll still be active in countless fantasy leagues. Just don’t expect much in terms of statistical success.

The Ravens listed running back Willis McGahee as questionable with a chest injury. But moments ago, a Ravens official emailed that McGahee is a go, and it even looks like he will start. So the Ravens will have one more weapon in their battle against a tough Titans defense.

Westbrook, McGahee both risks this week

A good friend of mine, Anita Marks from 1300 ESPN Radio in Baltimore, is friends with Brian Westbrook.

He sent her a text this morning and said he will be “careful” tonight. That indicates he’ll play (although that’s not in stone), but it doesn’t mean he’ll start. Those decisions are made by coach Andy Reid and the trainers.

Browns cleared of trying to injure McGahee

When Ravens running back Willis McGahee left Sunday’s game against Cleveland with a bloody eye, Baltimore officials believed Browns players were intentionally trying to hurt its running back.
