Representatives from 25 NFL teams — including Philadelphia Eagles coach Chip Kelly, and Tennessee Titans general manager Ruston Webster and coach Ken Whisenhunt — were present for Vanderbilt’s pro day on Friday. The players worked out indoors on FieldTurf inside the school’s new multipurpose athletic facility. Jordan Matthews, WR (6-foot-3, 211 pounds) — Matthews stood on his numbers from the NFL Scouting Combine, and took part in the positional workout at the pro day. Representatives from 22 NFL teams — including a large contingent representing the Tennessee Titans — gathered at at joint pro day for Tennessee State and Vanderbilt held on March 22, where 12 Tennessee State players worked out in the morning and nine Vanderbilt players worked out in the afternoon.
A player not invited to participate in the NFL Scouting Combine put forth a dynamite workout as representatives from 24 teams witnessed Vanderbilt’s pro day.
