Chiefs to decide on furture of Thigpen, spread

The Chiefs started the season looking for the quarterback of their future. Only, they thought it was Brodie Croyle, not Tyler Thigpen. Now, the Chiefs have a couple of questions to answer in the future. Is Thigpen and the spread offense a part of the future? Kent Babb of the Kansas City Star asks that question.

The Tyler-to-Gonzo connection

Tyler Thigpen is having a dreadful game in Oakland, throwing for 150 yards with no touchdowns and one interception. Of course, that hasn’t hurt Tony Gonzalez, who has eight receptions and 110 of those yards.

Tyler Thigpen: A fantasy dream!

Tyler Thigpen just threw his second touchdown pass of the first half, this one on a 2-yard toss to Tony Gonzalez. The Bills defense had allowed just seven touchdown passes entering the week, but even they can’t stop the magical Thigpen train. He’s becoming one of the top quarterbacks in fantasy football — unreal!

Is it time to believe in Thigpen?

Tyler Thigpen has thrown for 159 yards and two touchdowns in the first half against the Chargers. San Diego came into the game ranked dead last in the league against the pass, so Thigpen was a sneaky sleeper pick.

Tyler Thigpen, fantasy superstar?

Tyler Thigpen just scored on a 37-yard pass from Mark Bradley. Thigpen lined up as a wide receiver and hauled in the pass from Bradley on a trick play. The Coastal Carolina product now has two scores in the first half in what is becoming a blowout over the Buccaneers. Unreal.

Could it happen…again?

Thomas Jones, our Start of the Week, is being outdone by his teammate, Leon Washington in Week 8.

Huard the likely QB choice in KC

Kansas City coach Herm Edwards will not announce his starting quarterback for Sunday’s game versus Denver until Wednesday. But do not be surprised if, after watching Tyler Thigpen make a series of mistakes against Atlanta, Edwards turns back to veteran quarterback Damon Huard.

Break out Ronnie Brown!

Ronnie Brown has now scored two touchdowns, his second on a 15-yard run, as Miami takes a 14-3 lead in New England. Brown wasn’t a great fantasy starter heading into the day, but news that he would start over Ricky Williams made him a move viable option.

Third game, third QB to start for Chiefs

For the third consecutive week, the Chiefs will start a different quarterback.

Huard, Thigpen under center for Chiefs

It looks like Chiefs coach Herm Edwards is sticking with his proclimation to give second-year QB Tyler Thigpen playing time in the absence of injured starter Brodie Croyle.
