NFL Network’s Kara Henderson has confirmed an earlier published report that veteran free agent CB Ty Law has agreed to a contract with the Denver Broncos.

Ty Law and Simeon Rice stopped by the NFL Network and NFL.com on Monday.

NFL Network player correspondent Ty Law is making sure that I put in my blog that he told us Chargers RB Darren Sproles needed to get some screen passes so he could operate in space.

Ty Law, producer Ed O’Brien and I are on the field for pregame, and we’re amused by the Chargers’ linebackers, who are getting fired up by yelling at the Steelers’ fans. Shawne Merriman is acting like a player/coach, although you can tell it’s killing him to not be out there in a uniform. Shaun Phillips is ready to hit someone (I won’t use his exact words).

Earlier this week, Jets cornerback Ty Law said he expected to play Thursday night versus the Patriots.

While it remains to be seen how many plays CB Ty Law will see against the Patriots on Thursday Night, Jets coach Eric Mangini had a favorable review on Wednesday of the five-time Pro Bowler’s debut after re-joining the team with a one-year contract.

Now that cornerback Ty Law has signed, it could be the Aliquippa Jets just as easily as the New York Jets.

Both Law and Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis are from Aliquippa, Pa. Revis’ uncle, Sean Gilbert, is close with Law, and Revis grew a similarly close bond.

Since last season, cornerback Ty Law was rarely heard. Yet when he showed up at the Jets training facility Tuesday and signed, he had plenty to say — including which teams courted him.

Free-agent cornerback Ty Law reached agreement Monday with the Jets, and is expected to play Thursday night against the Patriots.

Playoff contenders already have lost some quality cornerbacks this season. But now another one is volunteering to help.
