Redskins set infamous record: The Lions beat the Redskins yesterday, which was incredibly their first win in Washington since about the time World War II was getting underway. Those of us who thought the Lions stood a chance of winning probably guessed it would be a 45-38 shootout type of final score. It really wasn’t. Detroit won 27-20, and the sad part is that was Washington’s best outing of the season. The Redskins have conceded an astounding 1,464 yards to date this season, which sets an NFL record for worst performance in the history of the league in the first three weeks of the season.
