The Kansas City Chiefs announced Thursday that they have traded 10-time Pro Bowl TE Tony Gonzalez to the Atlanta Falcons in exchange for a second-round pick in the 2010 NFL Draft.

Three Chiefs players have expressed unhappiness in Kansas City this offseason, and two didn’t show up for Saturday’s first minicamp practice, the Kansas City Star reports. Unfortunately for the Chiefs, both of the no-show players were the team’s only Pro Bowlers last season.

Chiefs chairman Clark Hunt said Tuesday at the NFL Annual Meeting that the team will keep veteran tight end Tony Gonzalez, the longtime face of the franchise who was the subject of trade rumors last year. Running back Larry Johnson and offensive lineman Brian Waters reportedly are another story, according to the Kansas City Star, though Hunt told the paper he wasn’t willing to give up on Johnson just yet.
