Cowboys hire Linehan to call plays: Never being a group to shy away from out-of-the-box ideas, the Dallas Cowboys have hired former Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Scott Linehan to call plays. But there’s a twist — the Cowboys are also retaining Bill Callahan to be the team’s offensive coordinator. Linehan spent the past five seasons leading the Lions’ offense and turned them into a top 10 outfit over the past three campaigns.
