Pro Bowler Steve Smith was carted to the locker room with a right shoulder injury during Panthers training camp. X-rays were negative.
The Buccaneers announced that WR Antonio Bryant has a torn meniscus in his left knee and will undergo arthroscopic surgery. Bryant is expected to miss the remainder of the preseason.
