Representatives from eight NFL teams watched 14 players work out Thursday at South Dakota State’s pro day event. The workouts took place indoors on FieldTurf, and players from South Dakota State and the University of South Dakota were present. Tyler Starr, OLB, South Dakota: Starr (6-4 1/4, 249 pounds) was at the combine and played very well in the East-West Shrine Game. At his pro day he ran 4.58 and 4.59 in the 40. He had a 31 1/2-inch vertical jump and a 9-9 broad jump. He ran the short shuttle in 4.37 and has 33 1/2-inch arms. He has a chance to be a priority free agent.
