Nine Tonight. I’m not sure what Bob Seger was singing about on that tune, but as of this evening, there are just nine more until we get to April 28, day one of the NFL Draft. This svelte number traditionally has meant a lot to many people, from nine lives to Roger Maris (a No. 9), and his 61 home runs.

Four decades after his death, 2010 has been a big year for legendary football coach Vince Lombardi. Following a successful run on Broadway earlier this fall, Lombardi’s next stop is premium cable. The HBO Sports documentary “Lombardi” debuts Saturday at 8 p.m. ET, exclusively on HBO.
“Half the quotes attributed to Lombardi are wrong,” said actor Dan Lauria, who portrays the former NFL coaching legend in a new Broadway play, “LOMBARDI,” which opened last week. “Lombardi never said, ‘Winning isn’t everything, it’s the only thing.’ Red Blaik said it.”
