With David Carr officially part of the picture in San Francisco, the 49ers have opted to trade QB Shaun Hill to the Detroit Lions for a draft pick, the team announced Monday.
The Lions acquired QB Shaun Hill from the San Francisco 49ers in exchange for a seventh-round pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, reports The Sacramento Bee, citing league sources.
Nevermind that Shaun Hill is 10-6 as the 49ers’ starting quarterback and has thrown 23 touchdowns to 11 interceptions in those games. San Francisco appears ready to move on without him.
