Kubiak sticking with Schaub: When asked about Matt Schaub’s future as Houston’s starter, here’s what head coach Gary Kubiak had to say: “He’s our quarterback,” the coach told reporters on Monday, “I believe in him. He’s a strong kid, but it’s going to be a tough week.” Translation: I really don’t know. This is similar to a dreaded vote of confidence. Kubiak has also criticized Schaub’s ability to audible as well as his decision making ability. Then he went on to blame himself for putting Schaub in bad situations as a coach. The likelihood of sticking with Schaub beyond this season seems very low, but despite the interceptions, his fantasy numbers haven’t been too bad. He’s had 298 or more passing […]

The Miami Dolphins take on the Buffalo Bills on “Thursday Night Football” to attempt to snap their two-game slide. To do so, the Dolphins have to take advantage of the Bills’ league-worst rushing defense, which surrenders an average of 163.7 yards per game. Coming off a game in which rookie QB Ryan Tannehill threw three interceptions, it becomes especially critical that the Dolphins get the ground game going and protect their young signal caller. The Bills’ linebackers have struggled playing in space all year, which works right into the Dolphins’ favor with their zone-running scheme spearheaded by talented RB Reggie Bush. The “Playbook” crew breaks down Miami’s use of the stretch play. To stop this stretch attack, the Bills’ linebackers […]

Who will be the best AFC East QB in Week 1?
If Buffalo Bills quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick cuts back on turnovers, he could be one of the better fantasy football values in 2012.

The former Harvard star finished tied for 60th in the tournament, which isn’t great. But hey, his mind is on football. Speaking of that, Fitzpatrick was already excited to get to Pittsford, N.Y. for camp. With good reason. It was a busy offseason for the Bills, who signed pass-rusher Mario Williams in a massive steal. It’s not the only reason he’s amped to get started. And he’s also not the only one who feels that way. “It’s been really exciting just for the city of Buffalo in general,” Fitzpatrick told me recently. “The […]
