Cardinals general manager Rod Graves knows how important perennial Pro Bowl WR Larry Fitzgerald is to the franchise, and he assured reporters Friday that the team is working hard to knit together a new contract for its star.
The Cardinals announced during a news conference Wednesday that they have signed two-time Pro Bowl DT Darnell Dockett to a contract extension that runs through the 2015 season. The deal is worth up to $48 million over four years with $30 million guaranteed, a league source told NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora.

No sooner were NFL teams connected to having interest in Donovan McNabb did they start lining up to deny that interest.

The Arizona Republic reported late Thursday, through a private team source, that the Cardinals are prepared to let Dansby test the open market and will not apply the franchise tag on the six-year veteran for the third consecutive year.
