It was a tough day for wide receivers, as Houston’s Andre Johnson, Minnesota’s Bernard Berrian and Indianapolis’ Reggie Wayne all sustained injuries. Johnson and Berrian didn’t return, although Wayne did.

The NFL fined Chargers QB Philip Rivers $7,500 for unsportsmanlike conduct in Monday night’s victory over the AFC West rival Raiders, a league source told NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora. Rivers was penalized 15 yards for taunting Raiders DT Gerard Warren in the third quarter of the game.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch is reporting that Rams restricted free agents DL Victor Adeyanju and OG Richie Incognito did not receive offers from outside teams, meaning the players will return in 2009.
