No matter what I do with Eli Manning, he is going to ruin my fantasy team. Start him like I did last week, and he kills me. Bench him in favor of Rex Grossman this week, and he kills me. Although the biggest failure is in my own hands for starting Grossman.

Two weeks into the season, the Redskins certainly look like a team that has bought into Mike Shanahan‘s world vision.

When this season started, Falcons signal caller Matt Ryan was one of the NFL’s glamour boys, while Redskins QB Rex Grossman was mostly the butt of jokes. How quickly things can change. Tune into NFL Network’s “Around the League” Wednesday at 5:15 p.m. ET to hear from Grossman live, then catch Ryan on “NFL Total Access” tonight at 7 p.m. ET.

Kerry Collins is preparing as if he will start Week 1 for Indianapolis, which should concern Colts fans and fantasy owners alike.

There is an opportunity for the Redskins starting quarterback to be a productive fantasy player. If only John Beck or Rex Grossman would get the nod.

Michael Fabiano has taken a siesta, so allow me to step-in and take a look at some of the top fantasy storylines on a Wednesday.

I also don’t see Cam Newton as much of a fantasy option, at least not as a rookie. If Newton does beat out Jimmy Clausen for the top spot on Carolina’s depth chart, he’ll be worth a late-round flier in deeper, seasonal leagues. But that’s about the extend of his fantasy value.
