Representatives from 20 NFL teams — including the running backs coaches from the New England Patriots, New York Jets and Pittsburgh Steelers — gathered at Pittsburgh’s pro day on March 6, where 12 players worked out indoors on FieldTurf.

NFL Network analyst LaDanian Tomlinson made a point a few weeks ago on First On the Field saying that Matt Hasselbeck puts Chris Johnson in better positions to succeed in the pre snap phase of the game.

Luke Nix was a three-year starter on the offensive line at the University of Pittsburgh, and many from the 22 teams present at the school’s pro day were on hand to check this player out. Nix figures to be a late third-round or early fourth-round selection in the 2012 NFL Draft.

Pittsburgh RB LeSean McCoy was unable to perform in drills at the NFL Scouting Combine last month due to a lingering illness. With that behind him, he did a full workout at Pittsburgh’s pro day on March 17.
