John Brown of Pittsburg State brings NFL intrigue

Wide receiver John Brown drew representatives from seven NFL teams — including a wide receivers coach from the New Orleans Saints, and special teams coaches from the Cincinnati Bengals and Indianapolis Colts — to Pittsburg State’s pro day in Pittsburg, Kansas, on March 18. The workout was held outdoors and run on FieldTurf. The weather conditions featured 20-30 mile per hour wind gusts, 50-degree temperatures and sunshine. Brown (5-foot-10, 172 pounds) stood on his numbers from the NFL Scouting Combine, which were impressive (he posted the second-fastest 40-yard dash time — 4.34 seconds — among wide receivers).
