Three teams send assistants to check out UNA’s Tavarius Wilson

Three NFL teams — the Jacksonville Jaguars, New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles — sent linebackers coaches to North Alabama’s pro day on March 14, when 12 UNA players worked out outdoors on FieldTurf. The player those assistant coaches were on hand to see was linebacker (and special teams phenom) Tavarius Wilson. The 5-foot-11 1/8, 239-pound Wilson ran the 40-yard dash in 4.77 and 4.78 seconds. He had a 36 1/2-inch vertical jump and a 9-foot-6 broad jump. He did the short shuttle in 4.40 seconds and the three-cone drill in 7.10 seconds. He performed 26 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press.
