The NFL Play 60 Challenge has its own downtown zip code at massive NFL Experience, and there’s no shortage of young football fans jumping at the chance to catch passes from the league’s stars. Heck, NFL Experience as a whole already has broken its attendance record this year, with more than 200,000 people attending — and one day still left.

A message Eric Berry finds dear to his heart is making sure he treats the fans well. He acknowledged still feeling upset when Deion Sanders declined to give him an autograph when he was in high school (and wasn’t interested in speaking to Deion at the Play 60 event), and said he wants to be as accommodating as possible to fans.

With the NFL schedule release on Tuesday, Ben Roethlisberger’s suspension on Wednesday and the 2010 NFL Draft from Thursday-Saturday, it would stand to reason that Commissioner Roger Goodell would have a lot on his mind.

I went to an NFL PLAY 60 Community Blitz event Thursday in nearby Lauderhill expecting to write some blogs on building a playground. Instead, I got to do a very small part to help build one, and it’s the highlight of my Pro Bowl week so far.

Not that long ago, 21-year-old Matthew Stafford was the same age as those teenagers he threw passes to in Central Park this morning. If you didn’t know he was about to be taken high in the NFL Draft on Saturday, you would have thought he was just a college kid on summer break working as a camp counselor with middle-school kids.
