Super Bowl XLVII was one wild ride in New Orleans, and several Super Bowl records were set or tied in the Baltimore Ravens’ 34-31 victory over the San Francisco 49ers.

It has been 10 years since New Orleans last hosted a Super Bowl. And people in Crescent City can’t wait for the drought to end next season, when the title game comes to town for the 10th time.

A quick spin around some match-ups as kickoff appraoches. The Browns held another negotiating session with WR Josh Cribbs, with a face-to-face session with his agent conducted Saturday in Cleveland. The sides continue to make “good progress” toward a deal.

In calling my first preseason game of the summer I noticed that it takes a little time reacclimating to the booth, the crew and all the elements required to help the broadcast go smoothly. It reminded me of how the coaches and players were using the preseason to iron out wrinkles in their game.
