In an effort to bolster their injury-depleted linebacker unit, the Vikings have their eye on free agent Napoleon Harris. Vikings coach Brad Childress said Wednesday the former Viking will undergo a physical with the team.

Teams that couldn’t trade certain players went ahead and cut them. There were two notable cuts Tuesday of two former high draft picks.
For starters, the Chiefs cut former first-round pick Napoleon Harris — once a part of the Vikings-Raiders trade for Randy Moss — and the Eagles cut running back Tony Hunt, who struggled to pick up Philadelphia’s offense.
