The Pittsburgh Steelers’ general manager (Kevin Colbert) and head coach (Mike Tomlin) were among the NFL personnel representing 31 different teams Tuesday at Michigan State’s pro day. A total of 16 prospects in this year’s draft and two others from the 2012 class worked out indoors on FieldTurf. Darqueze Dennard, CB (5-foot-11, 195 pounds) — Dennard had a 36-inch vertical jump and an 11-foot-2 broad jump. He did the short shuttle in 4.18 seconds and the three-cone drill in 6.83 seconds. Michigan State held its pro day on Wednesday and 26 teams watched 11 players work out indoors on field turf.
Michigan State had 30 teams represented at its pro day on March 16, including Jets LB coach Bob Sutton and Seahawks assistant Kippy Brown. The workout was on FieldTurf, indoors, with 13 players from Michigan State and three small-school players.
