The 2012 season is just days away from kicking off and this looks like an exciting season with a lot of big-name rookies expected to make a huge impact. But you can’t talk about those rookies without the inevitable comparisons. Here’s a look at some of the top rookies and how they compare to their contemporaries.

With the 16th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the Jets selected North Carolina DE Quinton Coples, and the reaction was mixed from some 3,500 Jets fans on hand at MetLife Stadium. While some cheered, others booed, with hopes of Melvin Ingram heading to New York shattered. It’s been chaos and excitement surrounding the draft, for all but one, who says his focus is elsewhere.
