Representatives from six NFL teams were present at Lindenwood’s pro day on March 19, where cornerback Pierre Desir was the main attraction in the workout held outdoors in 30-degree temperatures and run on FieldTurf. Desir — who was at the NFL Scouting Combine — ran the 40-yard dash in 4.52 and 4.58 seconds. He also had a 38-inch vertical jump at the pro day. Desir — who has 33 1/4-inch arms — did positional drills and performed better at the pro day than at the combine. Carolina Panthers secondary coach Steve Wilks worked out Desir. Lindenwood has never had a player selected in the NFL draft.

Utah State hasn’t had a player selected in the NFL Draft since 2007, when G Shawn Murphy and WR Kevin Robinson were chosen in the fourth and sixth rounds respectively, but that didn’t stop 14 NFL teams from showing up March 3 in hopes of finding the next Donald Penn.
