The Chargers and Titans hit the practice field on Tuesday — normally a day off for teams — in advance of their Christmas Day NFL-Network matchup in Tennessee, and it looks like San Diego could be optimistic about receiving a boost on its offensive line.
The Titans are scheduled to have contract talks with two-time Pro Bowl DE Kyle Vanden Bosch this weekend, according to a league source. The team, which has a bye this week, has held an ongoing dialogue with Vanden Bosch, an elite pass rusher who’s eligible for unrestricted free agency after this season.

Neither defensive star is on the cusp of a new deal, but contract talks are ongoing.
Tennessee is not resting anybody at Houston on Sunday, nor does it have any plans to rest anyone next Sunday in its colossal clash against Pittsburgh.
Now, if the Titans clinch home-field advantage before the regular-season finale at Indianapolis, the Titans could opt to give a little rest to a couple of needy veterans. But it would not be many players, and it would not be much time.
