Titans coach Jeff Fisher doesn’t seem to agree that veteran DE Kyle Vanden Bosch won’t be in Tennessee next season.

Behind the scenes at the Pro Bowl team hotel Friday morning, the AFC Pro Bowlers payed some U.S. military personnel a special visit.

Day three of Pro Bowl practices have begun, and I’m checking out the scene from the stands this morning. The AFC squad had its team photos at the hotel this morning before heading over to practice. The NFC will practice second today.

The Chargers and Titans hit the practice field on Tuesday — normally a day off for teams — in advance of their Christmas Day NFL-Network matchup in Tennessee, and it looks like San Diego could be optimistic about receiving a boost on its offensive line.

The Titans are scheduled to have contract talks with two-time Pro Bowl DE Kyle Vanden Bosch this weekend, according to a league source. The team, which has a bye this week, has held an ongoing dialogue with Vanden Bosch, an elite pass rusher who’s eligible for unrestricted free agency after this season.

Neither defensive star is on the cusp of a new deal, but contract talks are ongoing.

Tennessee is not resting anybody at Houston on Sunday, nor does it have any plans to rest anyone next Sunday in its colossal clash against Pittsburgh.

Now, if the Titans clinch home-field advantage before the regular-season finale at Indianapolis, the Titans could opt to give a little rest to a couple of needy veterans. But it would not be many players, and it would not be much time.

The Titans got two defensive starters back at practice on Thursday, as DE Kyle Vanden Bosch (groin) and LB Keith Bulluck (chest) both took part in the full session.

It’s still over two hours before kickoff for today’s 1 p.m. ET kickoffs, but the NFL Network cameras are already rolling. In Chicago, where a tarp still covers the field, Titans DE Kyle Vanden Bosch is running sets of stairs in the lower bowl of Soldier Field.

It sounds as if Tennessee is catching on to the idea that, in order to get Pro Bowl defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch healthy, it needs to force him to sit down and rest his strained groin.
