Some news making headlines around the web on Thursday, August 13:
The Titans placed rookie WR Kenny Britt on the physically unable to perform list, just one day after the first-round draft pick signed a five-year, $12.25 million contract.
Britt reportedly is still recovering from a hamstring injury that the Titans medical staff wants to let rest for a few more days. Coach Jeff Fisher said Britt could begin practicing by the middle of the week and in time to play in next weekend’s Hall of Fame Game against the Buffalo Bills.
When the planning for this trip was in its early stages, one thing that was most important to us was having the opportunity to spend the Fourth of July holiday with our troops who are serving overseas in harm’s way. I think all five coaches on the tour would agree that July 4, 2009 was a day they will long remember.
