Biggest need or best player available? You don’t have to wonder which school of thought to which the Broncos subscribe. Already brimming with running backs, Denver made a stunning selection by drafting Georgia RB Knowshon Moreno with the No. 12 overall selection.

If you are thinking of picking any Broncos in your fantasy draft, just stop right now. If you thought Mike Shanahan was bad, Josh McDaniels could be even worse for fantasy leaguers.

The Broncos continue to add players with quarterback Chris Simms and running back J.J. Arrington.

The Broncos have agreed on a two-year deal for free-agent RB LaMont Jordan.

J.J. Arrington might not be joining the Denver Broncos after all. Arrington, a free-agent RB who has spent his entire four-year NFL career with the Arizona Cardinals, agreed to a four-year deal with the Broncos on Friday. But the Denver Post reported that there were questions about details of the contract.

Contrary to published reports, free agent safety Brian Dawkins does not currently have a deal with the Broncos. However, he is en route to Denver. The Broncos do have agreements with running backs Correll Buckhalter and J.J. Arrington, according to the players’ agents.

Cardinals RB J.J. Arrington and DE Travis LaBoy are active and will play in Super Bowl XLIII. WR Hines Ward, as expected, is active and will start for the Steelers.
