Williams shows off catching ability at Furman pro day

Furman University held its pro day on March 7. Ten teams were present to watch four players work out. Paladin Stadium is undergoing renovation so players had to work out on an uneven soccer field. Participants ran the 40-yard dash once in both directions. Jerodis Williams, RB (5-10 3/8, 203 pounds) -β€” Williams was not at the NFL Scouting Combine but had a good pro day. He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.51 and 4.56 seconds. He recorded a 39 1/2-inch vert, a 10-foot-1 broad jump, a 4.29-second short shuttle and a 6.90-second three-cone drill. “He caught the ball well, but he didn’t choose to do the bench because he had right shoulder surgery in 2012,” NFL.com’s Gil Brandt said.
