Far from being a knee-jerk reaction, the Eagles’ decision to trade Donovan McNabb and elevate Kevin Kolb to starting QB was a much-discussed topic at team headquarters during the offseason.

Not only is Michael Vick in the house, he is on the field. I was standing about 50 feet from Vick near the center of the field as he tossed passes to Eagles receivers. Vick stood with QB Donovan McNabb and former Eagles WR Harold Carmichael.

One week after his Philadelphia Eagles again fell short in an NFC Championship Game, team owner Jeffrey Lurie is still bothered.
