Before re-signing with the Dolphins, Jason Taylor was said to have been considering a number of different options, one of which was joining the Patriots. But now that Taylor will be back facing the Patriots and not playing for them, Karen Guregian of the Boston Herald suggests Bill Belichick will likely look in-house to replace OLB Mike Vrabel, who was traded to the Chiefs in the Matt Cassel deal.

Defensive end Jason Taylor is returning to the Miami Dolphins after agreeing to a one-year, $1.5 million contract Wednesday. Taylor, Miami’s all-time leading sack specialist, re-joins the Dolphins after spending last season with the Washington Redskins, who traded a second-round pick to Miami for Taylor before the 2008 season.
