Redskins RB Clinton Portis suffered a concussion during the first quarter of Sunday’s game against the Falcons and will not return.
QB Jason Campbell will remain the starter for the Redskins, and will open the Week 7 game against the Eagles, a league source told NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora.
Redskins QB Todd Collins could be worth a look off the waiver wire next week.
When the Redskins opened the second half Sunday against the Chiefs, it was veteran QB Todd Collins under center instead of starter Jason Campbell.

Having had a chance to see a fair bit of the all-important preseason Week 3 games out there, here are a few things that caught my attention.
Week 2 of the preseason was important as there are many jobs hanging in the balance and, more importantly, there were individuals who needed to atone for their poor Week 1 performances.
Chase Daniel, an undrafted rookie quarterback, made his preseason debut for the Redskins tonight and was pretty impressive.
