Cleveland Browns officials and Josh Cribbs‘ representatives held a three-hour conference call Thursday, according to a source. The team also is scheduled to have a face-to-face meeting with Cribbs to continue discussing the Pro Bowl return specialist’s displeasure with his contract.

All signs still point to George Kokinis becoming the Cleveland Browns’ general manager. Citing “two sources close to the situation,” the Cleveland Plain Dealer reported Friday that the Browns fired director of player personnel T.J. McCreight and could announce Kokinis as his replacement as soon as today.

Prospective Browns general manager George Kokinis met with new coach Eric Mangini and his staff on Monday, but left without a contract according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
