We learned Thursday that Eagles WR DeSean Jackson — in the final season of his four-year rookie contract — took out a multi-million-dollar insurance policy on himself in August. It’s primary protection against injury until he finalizes what should be a monster extension with the Eagles.

Robinson sustained a concussion after he and Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson were knocked out of their game in Week 6 after a frightening collision in which the Falcons’ cornerback launched himself head first to make a tackle. Robinson was fined $50,000 by the league, but said he will appeal the NFL’s ruling.
