Dominique Easley draws interest from a number of NFL teams

Representatives from seven NFL teams — including Chicago Bears defensive line coach Paul Pasqualoni, Baltimore Ravens defensive line coach Clarence Brooks and Jacksonville Jaguars defensive line coach Todd Wash — were present for a workout by Florida defensive tackle Dominique Easley on April 17. Easley missed most of the 2013 season with a torn ACL, and won’t be a full go until June. However, he did do position drills. Easley moved very well in those position drills and displayed good quickness. His best position in the NFL is at defensive end. Easley has visits scheduled with the Cleveland Browns, Dallas Cowboys, New England Patriots and St. Louis Rams.

15 NFL teams represented at Florida’s pro day

Representatives from 15 NFL teams — including new Minnesota Vikings coach Mike Zimmer, New Orleans Saints defensive coordinator Rob Ryan and offensive line coaches, and the secondary coaches from the San Diego Chargers — were on hand for Florida’s pro day on Monday, when 13 Gators players plus six others from area small schools worked out. The runs and jumps took place indoors at the O’Connell Center — home of the Gators’ men’s and women’s basketball teams, among other tennants — while the position drills were conducted outside, where it was wet (hence why the pro day runs went indoors on the rubber track).
