The official word from New Orleans is that Cardinals WR Anquan Boldin and LB Gerald Hayes are inactive for Saturday’s divisional-round game against the Saints.

The 8th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals made a ruling today that could allow Vikings players Pat and Kevin Williams to play while continuing their legal battle in state court against NFL-issued suspensions. The NFL has yet to publicly determine its course of action as it relates to the ruling.

Mike Bell was released by the Broncos and Texans the last two seasons before landing with the Saints late last season. Sharing that perspective with The Associated Press on Tuesday, the running back recalled his experience of gaining too much weight and becoming a cancer to his team in Denver before being released.

One day after the Jacksonville Jaguars released Fred Taylor, the New Orleans Saints parted ways with their veteran running back, Deuce McAllister. A first-round draft pick of the Saints in 2001, McAllister started his NFL career behind Ricky Williams. When the Saints traded Williams to the Miami Dolphins before the start of the 2002 season, McAllister quickly developed into a valuable fantasy option.

The NFL has suspended six players for violation of the steroid and banned substance policy. Charles Grant, Deuce McAllister, and the Fresh Prince of Bourbon St. (Will Smith) were suspended from the Saints. Pat Williams and Kevin Williams of the Vikings were suspended along with Texans long snapper Bryan Pittman.
