Saints to get McAllister more involved

After virtually ignoring running back Deuce McAlister in the season’s first three weeks, the Saints plan to use him extensively Sunday versus the San Francisco 49ers.

Until now, the Saints have been cautious with McAlister, who still is recovering from last season’s torn ACL. He has had only two carries for 10 yards. The Saints believe McAlister’s knee is structurally sound, and they plan to work him into their offense against the Niners.

RB McAllister active for Saints

New Orleans RB Deuce McAlister is active for the Saints’ game against the Buccaneers. RB Aaron Stecker and CB Mike McKenzie will be inactive for the game.
