A large crowd that included representatives from all 32 teams gathered for Fresno State’s pro day Thursday. No NFL head coaches were present, but each team had at least two or three reps, including the Vikings, who sent offensive coordinator Norv Turner and general manager Rick Spielman. The star of the show was undoubtedly quarterback Derek Carr, who more than likely played himself into the lower end of the first round. Carr (6-2 1/8, 215 pounds) did an exceptional job, showing off a very, very strong arm in a 72-pass workout. All 32 NFL teams were represented at Fresno State’s pro day on Thursday inside Bulldog Stadium, where quarterback Derek Carr took center stage to showcase his skills in front of such notables as the entire Oakland Raiders coaching staff (including head coach Dennis Allen), Minnesota Vikings general manager Rick Spielman and offensive coordinator Norv Turner. The Raiders met with Carr this morning before the pro day workout. Carr managed to execute what Turner said was “an outstanding workout” despite spending part of Wednesday in the hospital. He did need to get an IV before working out. Carr completed 66 of 72 passes, throwing to wide receivers Davante Adams and Isaiah Burse, and tight end Marcel Jensen. Burse also was used […]

Johnny Manziel didn’t put his arm on display for teams at the NFL Scouting Combine and won’t do it at Texas A&M’s pro day on March 5. Instead, he will do so on his own pro day on March 27.
