NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora was stationed in Berea, Ohio, at Browns training camp. La Canfora says that while Brady Quinn and Derek Anderson are handling the pressure-packed quarterback competition well, he believes Anderson will be the one roaming the sidelines without a helmet while holding a clipboard when the Browns open their season Sept. 13.
Browns coach Eric Mangini sais he has no intention of rotating QBs Brady Quinn and Derek Anderson once he names a starter later in the preseason.
“Once you make that decision and go with that decision, then at that point you’re moving forward with that group,” Mangini said.
The quarterback situations in Denver and Cleveland are front and center at each of those teams’ training camps.
