In today’s Three and Out: The 49ers could go RB-by-committee; Eddie Lacy could see more work while Gio Bernard likely won’t.
In today’s Three and Out: The Raiders plan to talk to Darren McFadden; David Wilson’s rehab is reportedly ahead of schedule.
We’ve heard this before: Water is wet. The sky is blue. And Darren McFadden missed Wednesday’s practice with an ankle injury, this one supposedly having come against the Cowboys on Thanksgiving if head coach Dennis Allen is to believed. Oakland’s other RB Rashad Jennings actually did return to practice Wednesday after picking up a concussion on Thanksgiving. On one hand, you feel bad for McFadden since he seems to be cursed. But he’s been mostly useless for his owners throughout his career since he is incapable of staying on the field. Jennings is Oakland’s go-to guy for the rest of this season … and perhaps beyond. He’s got a nice matchup this week against a Jets defense that spends a […]

In today’s Three and Out: Michael Crabtree is expected back for the 49ers; Darren McFadden could see some time on Thanksgiving for the Raiders.

Redskins set infamous record: The Lions beat the Redskins yesterday, which was incredibly their first win in Washington since about the time World War II was getting underway. Those of us who thought the Lions stood a chance of winning probably guessed it would be a 45-38 shootout type of final score. It really wasn’t. Detroit won 27-20, and the sad part is that was Washington’s best outing of the season. The Redskins have conceded an astounding 1,464 yards to date this season, which sets an NFL record for worst performance in the history of the league in the first three weeks of the season. Good thing Washington has a few first-round picks they can use to help address the holes […]
Fantasy Draft Week opens with a shocker. Three wide receivers and Darren McFadden all go in the first round?!? Wow.

Marcas Grant breaks down the fantasy potential of the AFC West. No surprise — the Denver Broncos boast the best roster in the division.

In today’s Three and Out: Gronk is having setbacks, RG3 is pushing forward and Run DMC is excited about changing directions.
Matt Flynn’s trade to the Oakland Raiders will boost his fantasy value. But Marcas Grant writes that there’s not too much to be excited about.

With 85th Academy Awards happening this weekend, some of the best “true” and fictional stories told on the silver screen from last year will be honored with miniature gold statues of a naked man. What an honor! And with the NFL offseason just starting to ramp up at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis this weekend, we thought it’d be fun to take advantage of this down time to look into the future and see what remarkable story-lines we could be in line for next season. Last season featured a number of Hollywood-worthy tales, from the Harbaugh Bowl to the rookie sensations at quarterback to Ray Lewis going out on top and on and on. Below are a few highly speculative […]

If you fine folks have followed along, you know I received a Festivus miracle last week when the Tennessee Titans defense scored 18 points (thank you, Mark Sanchez) to secure the win against Matt “Money” Smith. I ultimately fell short in that league (more on those circumstances in a moment). I went 2-2 on Championship Weekend, as I again took out “Money” in our NFL.com Experts League. So I’m stuck in kind of limbo, fantasy purgatory similar to the finale of “Lost.” But two championships is pretty cool. And to fight off my NFL Fantasy Live peers for the second time in three seasons is pretty cool, too. Moving on, it should be noted so many fantasy football championships were […]
Is Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning poised for a huge Thursday Night Football performance against the Oakland Raiders?
Can Oakland Raiders running back Darren McFadden and Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte help fantasy owners this week?
