But there’s a twist — the Cowboys are also retaining Bill Callahan to be the team’s offensive coordinator. Johnson to have surgery: Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson will reportedly undergo surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his knee. It was the same injury Johnson played a bulk of the season with, likely contributing to a season in which he ran for just 1,077 yards — the second-lowest total of his career. It’s with that production and now a knee surgery that the speedy running back heads into free agency. Since he is adamant against taking a pay cut, it’s hard to imagine Johnson returning to Tennessee next season.
