On the one hand, there are only three out of 12 playoff spots still up for grabs heading into the final week of the regular season. On the other hand, there are so many possibilities in terms on a) who gets those three spots; and b) where teams fall in the seeding. Here are the playoff scenarios heading into Sunday:

Jay Cutler is hoping to make his way back for Chicago’s season finale, but fantasy owners shouldn’t rush to put him back in their lineups just yet.

Seven down, five to go, two weeks left to figure it all out. Seven teams have clinched playoff spots and four more can do so this weekend: The cowboys, falcons and Lions in the NFC and — that’s right — Tim Tebow and the Broncos in the AFC. Of course, there’s still plenty of jockeying for playoff position – home-field advantage, byes, etc.

Cowboy fans had huge expectations coming into this year. A second year with Dez Bryant and Miles Austin at wide receiver, another year with DeMarcus Ware rushing the passer, and their first go-round with renowned defensive coordinator Rob Ryan. But after two consecutive, heartbreaking losses, first to the Cardinals and last week to the Giants, the mood in Dallas is shifting. Fans are wondering: What’s wrong with the Cowboys?

Losing Greg Jennings to a knee injury certainly will impact fantasy owners currently in the playoffs, but there is plenty of value to be found in the rest of Green Bay’s deep receiving corps.

Watching tape in preparation for the Giants this weekend, Rob Ryan has to be licking his lips or plucking his gray beard; however excitement manifests with the Cowboys defensive coordinator, he must have shown plenty of it after seeing New York’s situation at offensive tackle.

With both Laurent Robinson and Miles Austin back at Cowboys practice, Robinson’s fantasy value is in flux. But fantasy owners could do worse than to take a chance on Robinson for another week.

In the NFL, defensive coordinators wish stopping a team was as simple as stopping one guy.

There’s no question that DeMarco Murray should be the starter for the Cowboys.

With injured starter Felix Jones out, DeMarco Murray had a chance to step up and seized the opportunity in the biggest of ways, setting a franchise record with 253 rushing yards on 25 carries.
