Steve Slaton’s off to a slow start for fantasy owners, but the schedule seems to indicate a change in his fortunes are ahead.

The Colts are dealing with a number of injuries during training camp, as starters Antoine Bethea, Dallas Clark, Bob Sanders and Ryan Diem are all sidelined heading into the preseason opener.

With the fantasy football season over (unless you signed up for our Playoff Challenge, of course), it’s time to start looking ahead to 2009.

Dallas Clark has hauled in eight passes for 83 yards and one touchdown in the first half against the Lions.

Jaguars inactives: RB Chauncey Washington, G Chris Naeole, LB Justin Durant, C Brad Meester, G Charles Spencer, DT Jimmy Kennedy, WR Jerry Porter, WR Troy Williamson.

Analysis: WRs Matt Jones, Reggie Williams and Dennis Northcutt will see more targets with Porter and Williamson both out. The Jaguars’ offensive line is still hurting with Naeole, Meester and Spencer inactive.

Vikings inactives: QB John David Booty (3rd), DB Madieu Williams, CB Marcus McCauley, RB Maurice Hicks, LB Erin Henderson, T Drew Radovich, FB Jeff Dugan, DT Letroy Guion.

Analysis: Tarvaris Jackson is active, as expected.

Just a quick note…NFL Network’s Scott Hansen is reporting that TE Dallas Clark and C Jeff Saturday are both inactive.

NFL Network’s Adam Schefter just told me Dallas Clark has a slightly torn medial collateral ligament. The Colts aren’t overly concerned about injury, and Clark could try to play today. But Adam points out that the prudent course of action might be to sit out this week and try to come back next.

After missing practice the last two days because of a knee injury, Colts tight end Dallas Clark had limited participation on Friday and is questionable for the Week 2 matchup with the Vikings.

Indianapolis Colts Running back Joseph Addai left the against the Chicago Bears with a head injury and his return is questionable.
