For the majority of the season, I have admonished fantasy enthusiasts for having too many good quarterbacks. Trade one! I often decried. They can’t score fantasy points for you from the bench.
The expression I search for right now is “hoist on my own petard.”

The football trade deadline is just that, dead. There is little to no excitement. There is no intrigue. Teams out of the race don’t send picks to other teams for future consideration like in other sports like baseball. Here are some trades I would love to see happen.

Colts QB Peyton Manning underwent neck surgery earlier in the week, but the procedure shouldn’t affect his immense value in fantasy land.
There’s nothing worse than the dead fish handshake. That is except for the left-handshake. That’s like the guy facing the wrong way in the elevator or something. So when I introduced myself to Dallas Clark and he extended his left hand, I almost ended the interview right there. That’s when I noticed the long scar on his right hand and remembered that the Colts TE’s season was cut short after just six weeks with a wrist injury.

Think that your season is over just because you have been eliminated from the playoffs? That is absolutely not the case if you are still involved in a keeper league.
It’s been interesting to watch just how much things have changed for the Colts over the course of the season, because we’ve witnessed a progression in how the greatness of Peyton Manning can overshadow other issues on his team.
Hard to believe, but two of the better TE options in Week 13 were anonymous to the casual fans at the beginning of the season.
