Trying to understand why NFL coaches really love selecting Boise St. players…

The Cowboys made an interesting selection yesterday, nabbing Boise St. defensive end Tyrone Crawford in the third round. A player I had to look up (you did, too, don’t lie), the Cowboys see Crawford as a try-hard guy who can eventually become a five-technique defensive end. For now, he’ll be an inside rusher, and they’ll see what happens. But what struck me was part of the reason why the Cowboys grabbed him.
