NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell chatted live with fans on NFL.com on Thursday, spending much of the chat discussing the league’s committment to player safety, the rules involing illegal hits and enforcing those rules during games.

No one can understand exactly what Rhodes Scholar Myron Rolle has gone through the past couple years. There is one person, however, that can relate somewhat to Rolle’s experience: Former Rams quarterback Pat Haden.

With the NFL schedule release on Tuesday, Ben Roethlisberger’s suspension on Wednesday and the 2010 NFL Draft from Thursday-Saturday, it would stand to reason that Commissioner Roger Goodell would have a lot on his mind.

While Michael Vick‘s status in regards to the 80-man roster is clear, teams have yet to receive full clarification on how the quarterback would be classified on a potential 53-man roster, should he still be ineligible to perform in regular-season games come Week 1.
